Getting Started

  1. Open the App: Launch LiftCal on your device.
  2. Enter Your Body Weight: Input in kg or lbs for accurate results.
  3. Enter Workout Duration: Add your planned session length in minutes.
  4. Set Number of Exercises: Up to 20 exercises supported per session.
  5. Enter Reps, Sets, and Weight: Fill in details for each exercise.
  6. Select Intensity: Choose Light, Moderate, or Heavy.
  7. Calculate: Tap "Calculate Calories" to see your total burn.

Tip: You can clear inputs any time to start fresh.

Tracking Progress

LiftCal’s Progress screen helps you monitor your training over time:

You can reset your history with the “Reset Progression” button (with confirmation).

Customising LiftCal

Common Issues

❗ Error when entering weight, reps, or sets

Use only numbers (e.g. “70” instead of “seventy”). Ensure weights are decimals (e.g. “25.5”).

🔄 Calories not updating

Ensure all fields are filled before tapping Calculate Calories.

💥 App crashes or freezes

Close and reopen the app. Make sure you’re on the latest version. Restart device if needed.

📊 Different calorie numbers from other apps

LiftCal is weightlifting-specific. Cardio-based apps often use different formulas.

➕ Adding more exercises

Currently, up to 20 exercises are supported per session.
